SHIATSU MASSAGE

Shiatsu combines acupressure points, gentle manipulation and stretching to re-energise weak areas and reduce tension in the body.

Shiatsu is given to aid the functions of our physical systems such as nervous, circulatory and respiratory, thus supporting our body’s innate self-healing abilities while simultaneously promoting our ability to relax.

This healing treatment is based on Chinese medical theory that vital energy flows within us through channels that exist in the spaces between the structures of our body. When this energy is disrupted, our channels become blocked where discomfort and illness usually follows. Thus shiatsu is given to relieve this disruption.

The treatment itself is applied through the clothes without the use of oils, on a massage table or comfortable mat on the floor.

Many people come for Shiatsu for a specific symptoms or simply to feel less stressed. Others may come:

  • To aid their sleep and promote a sense of deep relaxation.

  • Relieve headaches

  • Digestive disorders

  • Fatigue and Fibromyalgia

  • Musculoskeletal pain - including low back, neck, and joint pain.
