MARGHERITA TESSARIN, REFLEXOLOGIST AND AYURVEDIC PRACTITIONER

With over twenty years of experience, Margherita brings a compassionate and holistic approach to health and wellbeing. She expertly integrates ancient practices such as Reflexology and Ayurvedic Medicine, ensuring a deeply personalised and comprehensive treatment for each client. By focusing on the whole person, Margherita addresses your immediate concerns and fosters long-term wellbeing, carefully aligning each session with your unique needs and preferences.

Understanding the treatments

Reflexology and Ayurvedic Medicine are traditional healing practices that have been used for thousands of years to support the body's natural healing ability.

Reflexology involves applying gentle pressure to specific points on the feet and hands, corresponding to different organs and systems. Our clients are drawn to reflexology for stress and pain relief (without side effects), improved circulation, sleep, and natural healing throughout the body.

Ayurveda encompasses a wide range of treatments, including herbal remedies, dietary adjustments, and body therapies to balance the body's energies. As an integral part of Ayurvedic care, Margherita can provide one-on-one Iyengar yoga sessions to help you improve your posture, flexibility, and mental clarity. This yoga style often incorporates props to assist in achieving the correct posture. It particularly benefits beginners and individuals with physical injuries and chronic conditions such as back pain.

A Special Focus on Women's Health

Margherita has a wealth of experience supporting women at key life stages such as pregnancy and menopause. Her background as an Ayurvedic doula, alongside her NHS role supporting new mothers with breastfeeding and active participation in women's health initiatives, enriches her practice with empathy and a profound comprehension of women's health concerns.

'I strongly believe that the wellbeing of expecting mothers is vital to the healthy growth and development of their baby. Following the birth of my son in 2007, I focused on Ayurvedic practices in pregnancy and postnatal care to support other mothers.

Through attending menopause groups in the last few years, I have seen how most women blindly rush to Hormonal Replacement Therapy because they are unaware of the existence of alternative treatments. I have found that reflexology, yoga, and food and lifestyle changes can give women new hope.' — Margherita.
