CATH WALKER

cacao ceremony and pranayama PRACTITIONER

While travelling through Mexico in 2007 around The Day of the Dead festival, I was fortunate to experience the Mexican cup of hot chocolate. I was served a large glass of 100% pure cacao, made with water, and sweetened with a touch of honey. Drinking it, triggered such a euphoric experience that I was curious to discover more about this delicious plant.

Spring forward to 2020, while living in Mexico, I had the opportunity to take a deep dive into the wisdom of the Mayans and learn first-hand about their traditions and their inherent reverence for cacao. Not only is cacao fortified with antioxidants and nutrients, it is also enriched with powerful chemical compounds that invoke a feeling of compassion. (This would explain my euphoria.) As a qualified nutrition and lifestyle coach with a love for food, health, and nutrition I was drawn to working with and sharing this plant medicine with others.

I have been working with clients on a 1:1 basis since 2016, supporting hundreds of individuals on their journey towards better health. From 2018-2020, I held health talks in conjunction with the Mind Charity at a grassroot level for men and women in the Camden area. Since 2022 I have been facilitating health workshops for individuals called to experiencing cacao in a group setting.

I am a qualified Sivananda yoga teacher (2007) and pranayama teacher (2024). Since my pranayama training, I have been weaving together the power of breath work with cacao to create meaningful 1:1 session, where the focus is on health, wellbeing and relaxation.
